hire terms.

these are the rental terms published by afterhours. on instagram, presented here for easy reading. the agreed dress, hire dates, pickup and return times, price and any dress-specific conditions should be confirmed in your dm conversation before payment.

booking & payment

for payid or bank transfer, the full rental price is due before pickup. cash may be paid when collecting the dress. any cash discount is discretionary and is not guaranteed. dm us for a quote for other hire periods. a booking is confirmed only when we expressly confirm it with you.

pickup & return

pickup is in calamvale, brisbane. weekend hours are 9:00am–5:00pm; monday, tuesday, thursday and friday 3:30pm–9:00pm; wednesday 1:30pm–9:00pm. arrange a specific time with us. return the dress when the agreed hire period ends, during an available return time. delivery or postage, if arranged, is at the customer's cost.

try-ons & cleaning

try-ons in calamvale before booking are free, by arrangement. standard cleaning is included. return the dress as-is; please do not wash or dry-clean it yourself. we will arrange cleaning.

late returns

the published late fee is $15 per day. please contact us as soon as you know a return may be late. we may also seek recovery of a reasonably foreseeable loss directly caused by a late return where permitted by law, without double recovery.

cancellations

the published cancellation policy is: 7 or more days before pickup, a full refund; fewer than 7 days before pickup, a 50% refund; one day before pickup or on pickup day, no change-of-mind refund. contact us about circumstances genuinely outside your control; we will consider them individually. these change-of-mind terms do not limit any rights or remedies you have under australian consumer law.

damage & loss

the published policy says there is currently no security bond for the three dresses named in that post. for repairable damage caused during your hire, you are responsible for reasonable repair costs. for a lost dress or one damaged beyond repair, the post lists these replacement values: aloruh one-shoulder $70; aloruh floral $65; runway goddess nayeli $120. any bond or replacement value for another dress must be expressly disclosed and agreed before booking. we will assess claims fairly, provide the basis for a charge, and avoid charging beyond actual reasonable loss where the law requires.

your statutory rights

nothing here excludes, restricts or modifies consumer guarantees or other rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under australian law. if we cannot supply an agreed hire or there is a problem with the service, contact us by instagram dm so we can resolve it in line with those rights.

this website displays the dress collection and links to instagram for enquiries and bookings. we do not run a public booking form or take payments on this website. if you message afterhours. on instagram, meta handles that message under its own privacy terms; we use the details you give us to answer, arrange try-ons, manage a hire and address related issues.

the private owner studio uses chatgpt sign-in to verify the authorised catalogue manager and stores dress photos and listing details with our site hosting provider. we do not intentionally use advertising trackers on this site. you can ask about your information by dm at @_afterhoursdresshire.

prices and availability may change, and a listing is an invitation to enquire rather than a guaranteed booking. we aim to keep descriptions and photos accurate, but fit and colour can vary by screen and wearer; ask for a free try-on if you can. artwork, photos and copy on this site belong to afterhours. or their respective rights holders and may not be reused without permission.
